In the start of the Tensei Iga War, Ise ruler Kitabatake Nobukatsu was restoring Fukuchi Castle in preparation to attack Iga, and just before it was to be completed, the people of Iga attacked it and defeated Kitabatake, leading to the later attacks by Oda Nobunaga.
